The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Sr. Sales Forecasting Analyst to join our dynamic team at our Mississauga office. In this pivotal role, you will be the strategic link between our Walmart Sales team and external Walmart Planning and Replenishment teams, ensuring the seamless flow of products and maximizing sales opportunities.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Lead Forecasting Efforts: Develop and maintain item-level forecasts that align with consumer demand, sales strategies, and market trends. Your insights will shape the customer shipment plan and drive success across the board.
  • Support Sales & Customer Teams: Collaborate closely with both internal Sales teams and external Customer Planning and Replenishment teams to ensure optimal product availability, replenishment, and order fulfillment.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze sales and promotional data to generate accurate monthly flow patterns, considering seasonality, promotions, distribution points, and market trends.
  • Forecast Accuracy: Improve forecast accuracy by identifying key trends, minimizing variance, and ensuring a balanced inventory to prevent missed sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Participate in internal S&OP meetings, and maintain proactive communication with leadership on risks, opportunities, and performance against KPIs.
  • Global Impact: Contribute to global forecasting transformation initiatives, driving improvements and innovation across the organization.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Professional Experience: 3-5 years of experience in forecasting, planning, or sales analytics, with a strong track record of increasing responsibility. Experience working with Walmart is highly recommended.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with tools like Anaplan, Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP, Tableau, or Cognos, and familiarity with statistical forecasting techniques.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, apply critical thinking, and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Communication Pro: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Proactive & Positive Attitude: A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering results.
  • Willingness to Travel: Open to travel as required to collaborate with customers and regional teams.
  • Growth-Oriented: Demonstrated curiosity and a growth mindset, constantly seeking to learn and improve.
