About us

Fast, flexible finance empowers small businesses to manage their cash flow better and seize opportunities - making their business and the economy stronger as a whole. At iwoca, we do just that. We help businesses get the funds they need, when they need it, often within minutes.

We’ve already made several billion in funding available to over 100,000 businesses since we launched in 2012, and positioned ourselves as a leading Fintech in Europe. Our mission is to finance one million businesses. We’ll get there by continuing to make our finance ever more relevant and accessible to more businesses by combining cutting-edge technology, data science and a 5-star customer service

Your mission

As an Operations Strategy Analyst, you will support the development and implementation of strategies to improve efficiency and drive growth across our Operations teams, all while ensuring we deliver an exceptional level of customer service. You will have significant interaction with stakeholders across the business, including Customer Success, Credit Analysts and Collections & Legal to ensure your work delivers valuable commercial outcomes. This role will enable you to build foundational knowledge in Operations processes across the full range of the customer journey, from signup through to collections.

Each day brings new challenges, and you’ll be involved in a variety of fast-paced projects, learning about new opportunities and implementing impactful changes. This could include:

  • Collaborating with Operations to solve critical business problems, such as:
    • Determining the optimal contact strategy for the Customer Success team to enhance conversion rates.
    • Evaluating the value of contacting delinquent customers and testing these approaches.
    • Forecasting capacity needs for each team to eliminate operational bottlenecks.
  • Conducting data analysis to inform your work and shape effective solutions. This involves conducting your own analysis and working with our Operations Strategy Data Scientist to get even more analytical power from your data.
  • Implementing operational changes in close coordination with Operations and Tech teams.
  • Understanding strategic developments across the business, helping to assess their impact on Operations, and supporting the adaptation of our department’s processes to align with future strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a top-tier strategy consultancy or a strategic role at a tech or finance company.
  • Strong analytical skills, we live and breathe data. Experience with Python is a plus.
  • Proven ability or a strong desire to implement findings from your analysis; we need a ‘doer’ who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working across the business to see your work come to fruition.
  • A natural curiosity to spot, break down, and resolve problems.
  • Ability to distil complex information into key points so that it is succinct and engaging in both written and verbal forms.
  • A team player with a balance of confidence, humility, and enthusiasm.
  • High levels of personal integrity, given your exposure to numerous commercially and strategically sensitive projects.
  • Passionate about helping small businesses thrive—belief in our mission is important!

The salary

The salary range is £45,000 - £55,000 for this role. But, we’re open-minded, so definitely include your salary goals with your application. We routinely benchmark salaries against market rates, and run quarterly performance and salary reviews.
