Our work depends on a Functional Analyst joining our Agile team in modernizing and enhancing complex software products for a CMS program. The ideal candidate is a hands-on seasoned analyst with significant experience in Agile practices who can lead junior and senior developers in designing innovative web-based solutions in accordance Human Centered Design principles. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

HOW A FUNCTIONAL ANALYST SR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

  • As part of an Agile team, you will collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to create innovative solutions for complex business operations
  • Fulfil a leadership role leading the team in requirements gathering, software testing, and communication with stakeholders
  • Analyze user needs, perform research, and lead functional analysis on a variety of projects to create prototypes. proof-of-concepts, user stories and testing scenarios.
  • Define and apply process modeling and functional decomposition techniques to create well organized Epics and SMART user stories in JIRA
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, CMS, and Management to define roadmaps, define deliverables, and determine milestones
  • Steer value stream mapping to identify areas of improvement and solution the optimal state.
  • Define and communicate the MVP and value add requirements for projects
  • Apply Human Centered Design principals to promote usability of software and incorporate the voice of the customer.
  • Perform analysis to measure the success of initiatives
  • Troubleshoot problems and brainstorm enhancement possibilities.
  • Create and maintains documentation relating to applications. Apply security and privacy principles.

WHAT YOUโ€™LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelorโ€™s degree in related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • Deep understanding of Value Stream Mapping techniques
    • Strong hands-on background with on Human Centered Design
    • Facilitating collaboration with Product Owners
    • Documenting user stories and test cases
    • Through understanding of testing software products
    • Directing software testing
    • Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Slack
    • Collaborating with developers in creating innovative prototypes
    • Providing guidance to less experienced analysts
    • Serving as team lead and scrum master when needed
    • Scrum master certification
    • Ability to demonstrate software and garner feedback
    • Serves as an advisor to Product Owners and CMS in recommending innovation and changes
  • Required Skills and Abilities:
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to explain complex issues and business value to technical staff.
    • Strong-communicator, able to maintain clear communication with a diverse team of individuals.
    • Highly organized, able to maintain structure and efficiency even in chaotic environments.
    • Effective problem-solver, able to resolve issues without granular direction.
    • Proponent of change able to adapt to changing requirements quickly.
    • Flexible and able to multi-task effectively to meet delivery requirements in an often-shifting landscape
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience working on government contracts in an Agile DevSecOps environment
    • Agile Product Owner certification

Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
