The Production Forecast & HCA team also accounts for the flow of hydrocarbons from well head to sales points and ship, along with preparing numerous reports to review performance with stakeholders.

What’s the role?

The Production Forecast Engineer will work closely with the Upstream FPP Lead in the support of delivering QGC Upstream FPP. You will maintain an accurate view of the Upstream LE and annual OP production forecasts. You will work with the stakeholders across the entire QGC production system to drive forecast accuracy and reflect business strategy set by the Asset leadership team

  • Identify anomalies and sources of variance for review with relevant functions, ensuring updates are justified with supporting documentation.
  • Collaborate with Trading & Supply, Midstream, and Finance teams to provide an integrated view of QGC’s production system. Ensure low and high case forecasts represent QGC’s possible forecast range.
  • Support MTO (Manage Threats and Opportunity) processes, ensuring key production risks and opportunities are modeled in the latest base case forecast. Provide support to WRFM (Wells Reservoir Facilities and Management) for downhole failure and workover predictions.
  • Provide inputs for power and electricity demand. Undertake forecast scenarios and performance analysis to support business decision-making initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Shell’s Environment & Asset Management framework and implement ongoing FPP improvement plans. Support deliverables across the wider Production Forecast & HCA team based on business priorities.

  • Results-orientated with a commitment to quality and continual improvement. Should be highly self-motivated and able to work independently.

Application period will run until [SEPTEMBER 30, 2024].

We are keen to support flexible working arrangements, subject to local regulations and legislative frameworks. If this is of interest to you, please describe in your application the type of flexible working arrangements for which you would like to be considered.
