Design Engineer - Exteriors

Forseven, a revolutionary company looking to transform the EV industry through cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices, are seeking an exceptional Project Engineer in Exteriors to join our highly skills and dynamic Engineering team.

This pivotal role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of one of our offices near Leamington or Bicester where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you'll have ownership of the design process for responsible components within exterior systems, supporting in Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) practices to ensure optimal efficiency and quality. You'll be contributing to exterior system design and attribute delivery, collaborating closely with Project Engineers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for Design for manufacture and assembly for responsible components and support the exterior systems and attribute delivery.
• Report to Project Engineers responsible for the relevant commodities, support preparation of full project documents.
• Engineering responsibility (including design and release) of relevant parts, including some but not all of: Bumpers, Exterior Trim, Body Panels, Accessories, Mirrors, Glazing, Washer and Wiper Systems
• Ensuring responsible designs meet legal compliance.
• Identify and highlight any areas for continuous improvement and support other CAD engineers in design standards and engineering practices.

Who you are:

• Good exterior system knowledge and experience preferred.
• Automotive experience essential.
• A ‘can do’ attitude and are always focused on achieving great results.
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders & drive towards a common goal.
• A calm multitasker who successfully managed, prioritise and executes against deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
