Valeo’s VIE Program?

The Valeo VIE Program is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28. This program is to work for one of our subsidiaries around the world!

Valeo Light is the world leader in automotive lighting. From the latest interior and exterior lighting innovations to cutting-edge wiping technologies, the Light division offers innovative visibility systems with a distinctive style, improving safety and driving comfort.

The site of Seymour based in the United States of America belongs to Light Division. We are looking for a VIE Process Engineering for 18 months within the team.

Your challenges?

• You will be responsible for production automation and productivity improvements to increase line efficiency while maintaining quality standards for high volume headlamp and rear lamp assembly lines
• You will work on introduction of new robots and automation (Yaskawa Motoman and Fanuc)
• You will work on integration of new concept design to increase station productivity
• And also on ergonomic improvements, camera and sensor solutions to replace less robust options, process flow evaluations
• You will also implement the new designs on the lines while they are not running

Let’s talk about you…

• You are graduated from a Bachelor or Engineering in Automation, Electronic, Mechanical or similar engineering discipline
• You have a strong interest in robots and automation
• You have a fluent level of English
• You have good communication skills, have an international mindset and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking, with ability to work at all levels of the company as you will interact with people from operators on the floor to director level
• You are humble, listening, positive attitude oriented, professional, and have the sense of diplomacy
