We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Banking Analyst or Junior Associate to join our Financial Sponsors Coverage team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leveraged finance and a passion for working with private equity firms and other financial sponsors. This role will provide significant exposure to senior bankers and clients, offering the opportunity to contribute to all aspects of transaction execution and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Execution: Assist in the execution of leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and other debt financing transactions for private equity clients. Prepare financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials (e.g., pitch books, offering memorandums, management presentations).
  • Financial Analysis: Perform in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including building and maintaining complex financial models to evaluate transaction structures and returns.
  • Client Interaction: Work closely with senior bankers to develop and maintain strong relationships with private equity firms and other financial sponsors. Participate in client meetings, calls, and presentations.
  • Market Research: Conduct market and industry research to support client engagements and business development efforts. Monitor trends in leveraged finance and private equity markets to provide insights to clients and senior bankers.
  • Business Development: Support senior bankers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with financial sponsors. Assist in preparing pitch materials and presentations for prospective clients.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, ideally in leveraged finance, M&A or a related field. Experience working with private equity firms is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, Bloomberg).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Work Ethic: Highly motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

​ This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $105,000 to $125,0 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includeseligibility forshort-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
