VBA Macro Developer

So, what are the main duties of a VBA Macro Developer in Netcompany-Intrasoft?

For an important Macro Transformation Project we are currently looking for an additional developer in order to transform current macros which might not be able to run anymore in a cloud environment.

The VBA Macro Developer will be involved in the following tasks:

• Analyzing the needs of internal departments and assisting staff with development
• Reviewing code to ensure best practices are in place
• Analyze complex data to develop automated reporting with VBA and Excel
• Create macros to work with a huge amount of data and for Excel reports
• Develop VBA programs to perform tasks automatically
• Optimization of processes using Excel
• Establishment of cross-program workflows
• Working on IT processes and using Visual Basic in MS Applications
• Dealing with advanced Excel capabilities – formulas, tables, and graphs
• Developing test plans and software documentation to support code modifications and additions
• Debugging existing software

Requirements

What would make you a fit for the role:

• Documented experience in VBA and VB Script. The candidate has developed VBA applications for Word and Excel, which include access to DB, web services, user interfaces (forms). The knowledge includes the ability to configure the VBA environment, the management of templates and add-ins and the security issues related to the macros in general.
• Documented experience in .NET framework (.NET Core 3.1 and later) using C# as programming language.
• Experience with WPF and/or Blazor.
• Experience with Open XML or Office libraries (e.g., NPOI).
• Experience with Interop Word.
• Experience with queues like RabbitMQ or Azure Service Queue.
