Location: London (Hybrid)

The Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced detail-oriented Lead Test Analyst to join our team to help deliver high profile Campaign to Cash Transformation portfolio. The Test Analyst UAT will use their proficient technical, analytical, and communication skills to understand the business needs and recommend procedures and solutions to satisfy them.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the UAT testing process, ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications. This role will involve leading all activities relating to UAT, developing and executing UAT test strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions; planning, coordinating, and executing UAT activities, managing stakeholder interactions, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • UAT Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop and implement UAT strategies, plans, and test scenarios based on business requirements and user needs.
    • Define UAT objectives, scope, and resources, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • UAT Test Design and Execution:
    • Design, develop, and maintain detailed test cases and test scripts based on requirements and design specifications.
    • Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects, ensure functionality, and validate performance.
  • Defect Management:
    • Track and manage defects throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
    • Collaborate with development teams to identify root causes and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Leadership and Coordination:
    • Lead and manage all UAT activities, including planning, test design, execution, and defect management.
    • Coordinate with business users, project managers, and development teams to ensure testing and UAT requirements and schedules are met.
    • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and productive testing environment.
  • Test Design and Execution:
    • Create detailed UAT test cases and scripts that accurately reflect business requirements and user scenarios.
    • Execute UAT test cases, document results, and verify that the software meets acceptance criteria.
    • Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for UAT activities, liaising with business stakeholders to gather feedback and address concerns.
    • Facilitate UAT sessions, workshops, and meetings to ensure clear communication and effective testing.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Evaluate and enhance UAT processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Implement best practices and innovative approaches to ensure high-quality UAT outcomes.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and present UAT test reports, including test results, defect metrics, and user feedback.
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of UAT processes, test cases, and defect logs.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously evaluate and improve UAT testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to implement innovative testing approaches.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with project managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure clear understanding of requirements and deliverables.
    • Communicate test results, status updates, and key issues to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and present test reports, including test results, defect metrics, and coverage analysis.
    • Maintain detailed documentation of test processes, test cases, and defect logs.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in software testing, with a strong background in test design and execution.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of test analysts or QA professionals.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JMeter) and frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps) is desirable.
