Legal Assistant

Galli Law, PLLC is on the lookout for a dedicated Legal Assistant specialized in evictions, collections, traffic tickets, and LLC/corporate formations. Our firm prides itself on providing high-quality legal services, and we need an organized and detail-oriented individual to support our attorneys in these specific areas of law. The successful candidate will manage case documentation, client interactions, and various administrative tasks that ensure seamless operations within our firm.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with preparing, filing, and managing legal documents related to evictions, collections, traffic tickets, and LLC/corporate formations
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing parties
• Conduct legal research relevant to ongoing cases and client inquiries
• Schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings
• Maintain organized client files and case management systems
• Draft correspondence and other legal documents
• Support administrative tasks and contribute to team projects as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; paralegal certification preferred
• At least 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, particularly in evictions, collections, or related fields
• Valid New York State Driver's License
• Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of relevant laws and procedures in evictions, collections, traffic law, and corporate formations
