We are seeking a motivated Junior Software Engineer with a basic understanding of PHP and/or Java to join our team. The role involves assisting in the creation and maintenance of API connections with platforms like Google, ChatGPT, Bing, and more. You will also support the development and optimization of database connections to manage records efficiently. Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, testing, and maintaining API connections with various platforms, including Google, ChatGPT, Bing, etc.
• Support the development and optimization of back-end services and ensure integration with databases
• Help retrieve, manipulate, update, and delete records in our databases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist in the design and implementation of new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with guidance from senior engineers
• Assist in ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance

Requirements

Required qualifications, skills & knowledge

• Professional experience (1+ year) in software development or equivalent hands-on project experience
• Basic knowledge of PHP and/or Java
• Familiarity with API development and integration is a plus
• Understanding of working with databases (SQL/NoSQL)
• Basic knowledge of version control (Git)
• Interest in learning about CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with CMS is a plus
• Understanding of Agile methodologies is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience or internships
