Department overview

Global Technology Services (GTS) is one of the foundational divisions of the TMX Group, that empowers internal TMX business lines for their technology needs, operations and digital innovation. GTS as a client centric organization focuses on building technology capabilities, enabling our clients with the best technology solutions and providing effective technology financial and resource management processes. The cost effective operation is a key attribute of the GTS execution. GTS is responsible for delivery of all technology initiatives and services across TMX.

**Job Summary

You will be part of an experienced multi-disciplinary team with Developers, Analyst-testers, Business Analysts and Architects, in an environment where the team work with scrum methodology. As a Test Automation Programmer Analyst of the squad you will be involved in the design, implementation and support (70% Python & 30% C++) of the Clearing automation testing tool. As a member of the squad you will be part of the success of the product and its evolution by your commitment, your focus and your team spirit.

Key accountabilities

  • Participate in the architecture and the Design of the Clearing Automation Testing product
  • Develop and maintain the Clearing Testing product
  • Experience and good understanding of the real-time application
  • Collaborate with the team members to understand and to challenge the requirements, design, and the testing cycle
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews by following the enterprise code standards

**Must haves

  • University degree in Information Technology or equivalent
  • Strong skills and experience in designing and developing automated testing solution
  • Excellent software/system troubleshooting skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in Python programming scripting
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in C++ programming
  • Analysis and programming of distributed systems for Linux
  • Unified Modeling Language (UML)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Good analytical and effective problem solver
  • Sense of organization, focus, persistence and ability to work according to established plan and deadlines
  • Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required, as this role involves regular interaction with partners and stakeholders in both languages.

  • Strong knowledge in C++
  • AI knowledge on Automated testing
  • Knowledge with kubernetes, Jenkins and continuous integration
  • Knowledge in GIT, JIRA/Confluence and AWS
  • Knowledge of Financial services and capital markets
