  • Developing and executing the quarterly revenue targets as well as the forecasting methodologies used and implemented at Semtech
  • Leading the Customer Operations teams in support of our global customers
  • Identifying and executing optimization initiatives to drive margin and revenue gains across company functions

Job Summary:

Semtech Corporation is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our Sales Operations team as a business analyst. This role is designed for a recent graduate / early-career professional who is eager to learn and contribute to our sales operations and program management efforts. This candidate will support the sales operations team in streamlining processes, managing projects, and driving efficiency across the sales organization. The Business Analyst serves as the key individual responsible for analyzing, developing, evaluating and implementing pricing strategies and models in support of the company’s strategic objectives and based upon current business and competitive market dynamics

Responsibilities:

Sales Operations Support:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of sales processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of sales data.
  • Support the implementation and management of sales tools and technologies.

Program Management:

  • Coordinate and manage sales programs and initiatives from inception to completion.
  • Track and report on program performance, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Assist in the creation of program documentation, including project plans, timelines, and status reports.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for sales management and other stakeholders.
  • Support the development of dashboards and metrics to monitor sales performance.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization within the sales operations function.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and track the impact.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Customer and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as a liaison between sales operations and other departments, such as marketing, finance, and customer support.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to sales operations in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in sales operations, program management, or a related role. Internship experience is acceptable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
    • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Desired Qualifications

Relevant internships and work experience structuring, analyzing, defining, and executing pricing strategies within a high-technology, semiconductor, environment. The ideal candidate would have internship experience in working closely with IT infrastructure supporting corporate ecosystems and understanding pricing execution with distribution partners. Strong analytical capabilities; problem solving, decision-making skills, computational ability and detail-mindedness. Ability to demonstrate good presence with distribution partners and work cross-functionally with other specialists around the world. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Well organized, with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple priorities. Ability to travel, up to 10%

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $56,000-$88,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
