Senior DevOps AWS Engineer

A project for an insurance company. A monolith system that is being upgraded. The team consists of Java devs so far and is looking for a DevOps engineer. They're working on both new features and upgrading the existing ones

Requirements

• Strong understanding of AWS (must-have)
• Experience building infrastructure using Terraform
• Proven ability to design and implement CI/CD pipelines
• Experience setting up APM tools (e.g., Sentry, Open Telemetry, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Fluentbit, etc.), including configuring dashboards, alarms, and notifications
• Proficiency with Docker/Kubernetes and Helm for package management
• Hands-on experience with ArgoCD for continuous delivery
• Familiarity with Bitbucket pipelines or GitHub Actions
• Experience with Jenkins for automation

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability and scalability
• Build and maintain infrastructure using Terraform for efficient and reliable deployment
• Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and release processes
• Set up and configure APM tools such as Sentry, Open Telemetry, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Fluentbit, including creating dashboards, alarms, and notifications for monitoring and alerting
• Manage containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for efficient deployment and scaling of applications
• Oversee continuous delivery processes using ArgoCD to ensure seamless deployment
• Work with Bitbucket pipelines or GitHub Actions to automate workflows and enhance source control processes
• Utilize Jenkins for automating and managing build, test, and deployment processes
