Software Development Intern - Bluetooth Auracast

The Role

🚀 The Conference department from Bosch Security and Safety Systems is looking for an enthusiastic intern!

Our team is dedicated to developing advanced conference products designed to facilitate structured and efficient meetings. We focus on creating tools and solutions that enhance communication, streamline collaboration, and ensure that every meeting is productive and organized. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we aim to provide users with a seamless experience that supports clear agendas, effective time management, and meaningful interactions, making each meeting more impactful.

🛠 ️ Your Tasks

• Assess the technology of Bluetooth Auracast to understand its capabilities and suitability for wireless distribution of multiple audio channels in a conference setting;
• Conduct creative brainstorming sessions to explore potential applications and solutions using Bluetooth Auracast for conference audio distribution;
• Develop and pitch a proposal outlining the use of Bluetooth Auracast, including system design, expected benefits, and implementation strategies;
• Perform a risk assessment to identify potential challenges, limitations, and risks associated with using Bluetooth Auracast, and propose strategies to address them;
• Develop a proof of concept (PoC), select appropriate Bluetooth chipsets, and test the setup to validate the feasibility and performance of the proposed solution for conference audio distribution.

Requirements

🎓 What You Bring:

• You are currently studying Computer Science, IT, or similar direction;
• You have software programming skills (e.g. Embedded Software, C++);
• You have the research mindset and proactive;
• You are proficient in English verbal and written;
• You are available for the minimum internship period of 6 months, preferably longer;
• You can work at our office in Eindhoven;
• You are based in the Netherlands, preferably in Eindhoven.

• You have experience working with Bluetooth;
• Knowledge of audio products;
• You have a strong interest in building microphones, audios, or acoustics products;
• You are a fast learner;
• Good communication skills;
• Strong motivation;
• Team player and able to work independently;
• Open attitude, suitable for an internationally oriented environment;
• You are interested in and/or have an affinity with technical products.
