Our client is a UK-based international company dedicated to positively transforming energy for the future. They focus on decarbonizing heat and power through innovative engineering and sustainability, utilizing the world’s most energy-dense solar collectors. Their solar thermal and solar technologies innovations include integrated monitoring capabilities, offering off-grid solutions for high-demand sectors like hotels, residential developments, leisure centers, food and beverage manufacturing, and hospitals.

You will join our dedicated team to develop a solar design tool from the ground up, supporting 3D modeling, layout planning, financial management, solar component management, as well as heat demand estimation and modeling.

Requirements

• QA experience with complex web applications and mobile apps
• Solid manual testing skills
• Experienced in backend and frontend testing, ability to identify root cause
• Experience performing and directing cross-browser and cross-device testing
• Experience with Postman, Charles
• Knowledge of Mac and Windows operating systems
• Understanding of databases
• Understanding of API basics
• Ability to understand the system to create detailed and accurate reports
• Ability to initiate and drive continuous improvement
• Strong sense of ownership and pride in the quality of work
• Experience with Agile development (Scrum), TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Improvement, Continuous Delivery
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Team player, self-motivated, good communicator, driven and committed
• Experience in setting up QA processes inside the team
• Customer orientation

Nice to have skills

• Commercial experience in renewable energy sector projects

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, compatibility, integration, e2e, and regression testing while working as a single QA in the project
• Setup testing strategy for the project according to best practices
• Create detailed and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Conduct testing activities according to established SDLC, report clear and thorough bugs
• Analyze the requirements and communicate with the customer for clarification
• Work both independently and in close collaboration with other team members and across the business
• Develop and promote best practices in testing and ensure their adoption
• Active participation in a distributed agile process
• Proactive collaboration with teammates and remote team members
