Position description

The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, support, and maintenance of the network and telecommunication services of the Terminal, and works very closely with regional and global engineers to ensure a non-stop operations following company’s policies and procedures. You will also execute on the modernization, standardization, and security agenda of the networking infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Design and implement secure LAN/WAN/WLAN network and telecommunication services in close coordination with the regional and global team, ensuring the high availability of the communications
  • Ensure a proper support and maintenance of the network and telecommunications services, preventing unplanned service interruptions to fulfil the agreed SLAs.
  • Plan the growth of the network and telecommunications infrastructure to support new business initiatives, proposing and developing innovative solutions to exceed business expectations.
  • Manage the cyber security according to the corporate security standards, to keep the availability, confidentiality and integrity of the information that goes through the network
  • Manage suppliers and the contracts to ensure a robust and cost-efficient 24x7 delivery of the services contracted
  • Build metrics to measure the availability, performance, and capacity of the network and telecommunications services, and report on operational status, seeking for continuous improvements
  • Attend incidents and requests raised by the users and/or reported by the monitoring tools
  • Create related documentation such as RFPs, presentations, network diagrams, technical guides, among others

To succeed in this role, we are looking for:

  • Education: Electronic, Telecommunications, Mechatronic or other related engineer degrees.
  • 8 years of combined experience in networks, including roles such as Network Analyst, Specialist, administrators, etc.
  • Service-oriented mindset, independent, goal-oriented, and disciplined.
  • Problem-solving focused professional.
  • Proactive, independent, and decisive attitude.
  • CCNP Certified is required.
  • CCDE (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Solarwinds, Office 365, Power BI.
  • Advanced written and spoken English language
  • Experience in maritime, ports, or logistics companies (desirable)
  • A1 license desirable.
