We are looking for new Sales Engineer to join our Eastern Europe region primary based in Zagreb, Croatia or Belgrade, Serbia. If you are based in Sofia, Bulgaria with at least 2 years’ experience from working in Serbia, Macedonia and Albania and are willing to travel several times per month then we would like to hear also from you**.**

As an Axis Southern Eastern Territory Sales Engineer, you are a key person in the local sales team. You will be responsible for the technical aspects of the sales cycle in primarily the Southern Eastern territory (with most focus on Serbia, Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, and supporting in Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina). You will be one of two sales engineers and work with your colleagues e.g., sales manager, territory manager, key account managers, inside sales manager and other sales engineers and be responsible for researching, preparing and presenting Axis products and solutions, technical training and designs. You will work on getting Axis specified in projects and provide the essential skills for our partners to successfully implement Axis video, access control and audio solutions. You will also work on long term projects in the community that make a difference.

Note that this is a home office-based position and if based in Belgrade or Sofia we will look at employment thru an employment of record or if you have your own company hire you as an own account worker.

Your key responsibilities will include:
You will support the sales organization to influence project with customer’s visits together with other Axis representatives but also on your own, product demonstrations and pilot installations.

You will be essential in providing internal and external assistance during the sales process to include delivering product demonstrations to customers.

Working together with the integrator and/or software development partner during the project sales process, to include managing the RFP process is of course a big part of your role.

You will have a large impact supporting the sales organization in tender and RFP/RFQ process and answering project related questions from colleagues.

The sales organization will have your support in qualifying tenders to select projects which will give a return of investment in time and energy to close the deal.

In addition to this you will:

  • Extend network of consultants that specify Axis product in tenders and support them with information, updates and training so they can successfully specify projects.
  • Continuously keep the technical knowledge up to date on the latest products and features to offer the best possible solution to the needs of the customers.
  • Work with the central/global pre-sales organization and develop written pre-sales material of technical nature, both in the form of articles and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Helping sales organization to increase knowledge on the Axis portfolio and handle regional sales organization as an “internal” customer.
  • Provide technical trainings to customers and partners. Be the Axis Communications’ Academy teacher and organizer when such training courses are arranged in the region or in cooperation with a distributor. Organize and execute seminars/road shows, conduct or coordinate onsite training-sessions for customers.
  • Be a bearer of our company culture

Qualification and Experience

  • Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role, ideally in the field of network video and/or physical security markets
  • General knowledge in common Video Management System software is desirable
  • Able to facilitate engaging presentations and demonstrations to a variety of audiences
  • It´s considered as a plus if you have a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or similar

Important skills, abilities, knowledge for this role

  • Proven experience in pre-sales within the IT or Security channel with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Knowledge in CCTV/Network video, VMS software and hardware technology
  • IT exposure in networking, IP-based technologies and applications with sound knowledge of network infrastructure (TCP/IP). Attained certification from CISCO, Microsoft with technical experience from CCTV/Network video is an advantage
  • Ability to provide effective presentations and demonstrations to all levels of an organization in English and native language. Other languages from region are advantage.
  • High level of self-initiative, self-motivation and sales orientation
  • Experience and passion for teaching, service and open minded and a team player
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
  • Frequent travelling is required within the SEE region and sometimes also to our HQ in Sweden though your base is in either Zagreb, Belgrade or if fulfilling requirements listed above Sofia.
