DevOps/Cloud Engineer

Software Requirements:

• Proficiency with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their managed services
• Solid experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab CI)
• Competence in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Understanding of version control systems (Git)
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

Overall Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, high-availability cloud solutions with a focus on infrastructure automation
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and continuous deployment
• Manage and operate infrastructure as code, ensuring best practices are followed
• Collaborate with software development teams to facilitate DevOps culture
• Optimize cloud resources for the best balance of cost, performance, and security
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments

Category-Wise Technical Skills:

• Cloud Computing: In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture and deployment strategies
• Automation & Orchestration: Experience with automating cloud deployments and container orchestration
• Monitoring & Performance: Ability to set up and maintain monitoring systems for cloud infrastructure
• Networking & Security: Understanding of cloud network architectures and cloud security best practices
• Scripting & Coding: Strong scripting skills to automate repetitive tasks and configure services

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in a DevOps role with a significant focus on cloud environments
• Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms and services
• A history of successful implementation of cloud solutions in a production environment

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Develop and improve infrastructure automation and orchestration capabilities
• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve cloud resource deployment
• Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery
• Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages
• Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
• Maintain day-to-day management and administration of projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant cloud certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, GCP Professional DevOps Engineer)
• Additional certifications in Kubernetes, Terraform, or other DevOps tools are a plus
