The role:

The Business Analyst Fixed Expenses / CAPEX EMEA will be working with and provide support to the Senior Business Analyst in the regional management reporting and business planning services to support the management decision making process and help achieve the business targets across the all Sectors (Consumer Care, Salon and Molton Brown), as well as Supply Chain and IP Owners.

What you will do:

  • Monthly, quarterly and year-end Fixed Cost reporting
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial and managerial reports to support the organizational objectives
  • Analyze variances in Fixed Expense and explore variances/potential issues with stakeholders, including actuals, forecasts, and budget
  • Ensure that where necessary cross charges are managed and internal costs are correctly allocated
  • Take a lead in the preparation of annual operating budgets
  • Comply with internal reporting as necessary
  • Own and manage the Fixed Expense by country, and support sector as necessary in conjunction with the Sr. Manager FP&A Reporting / Consolidation EMEA / GLOBAL
  • Make recommendations (to include cost saving opportunities) to the business based on analysis and discussion and advise of the impact to the department/business
  • Provide ad- hoc analysis/reports to business partners under direction from your line manager
  • Contribute and implement continuous process improvement, including simplifying and optimizing process, improving data integrity, and leveraging current technology.
  • To develop and maintain value added relationships with all stakeholders
  • Work with stakeholders to prepare budgets and complete the necessary templates, and to ensure they understand the financial information they receive

What you will need:

  • Fully qualified, ideally with a degree level education or equivalent.
  • Ideally around 2 years of related experience and proven success in respective positions in an international matrix organization
  • Ideally FMCG experience (in a strongly branded, product led innovation and consumer/customer insight driven organization)
  • First-hand experience of management accounts planning, budgeting and forecasting (solid background in financial management, ideally all aspects, but as minimum in management accounting, FP&A, Big 4 audit experience is a plus)
  • Strong financial business analysis skills
  • Advanced IT skills (especially in Excel but also in front end analytical systems)
  • The ability to distill complex problems with large amounts of data into simple arguments
  • Planning and priority / time management and organization skills
  • Structured and critical thinking
  • Working affinity with end-to-end processes and risk and control frameworks
  • Able to support change; willingness and aptitude to challenge constructively
  • Business acumen and holistic thinking; intellectually and business curious
  • Excellent written, verbal, influencing, organizational and presentation skills in English
  • Confidence in building relationships and engaging with both financial & non-financial teams are vital characteristics in order to succeed in this role.
