Web Developer

We are looking for a Web Developer to join our team in Mexico City! As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating our websites. You will work closely with our design and content teams to ensure our websites are visually appealing, functional, and user-friendly. If you have expertise in WordPress CMS, as well as proficiency in other web development technologies and frameworks, then we would love to speak with you!

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Web Development or related field, or equivalent, relevant experience
• At least 7 years of experience as a Web Developer with expertise in WordPress CMS.
• 7 years of experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• 7 years of experience with GIT, SASS, Gulp and Bootstrap Framework.
• 7 years of experience and expertise with WordPress theme and plugin development.

It would be great if you also had . . .

• Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and techniques.
• Experience with SEO best practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of other web development frameworks and content management systems is a plus.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Develop and contribute to custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet the specific needs of our websites.
• Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins as required.
• Collaborate with designers to implement website designs and ensure a seamless user experience.
• Work closely with various stakeholders and management to develop and maintain Clarivate web properties and optimize website performance.
• Assist in the development of web-based features using industry standard tools and technologies.
• Work with various teams to resolve daily ticketing requests
• Should be independently able to resolve critical issues such as investigating website issues, including hosting issues (in conjunction with our hosting provider).
• Work with cross-functional teams including Demand Generation, Creative Services, and Events to support product launches and marketing campaigns

About the Team

Join our Web Development team! This team sits under the wider Brand & Comms organization. This is a centralized team that collaborates with various stakeholders across all 3 of our major segments around the globe.

Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, primarily working core business hours in your time zone, with flexibility to adjust to various global time zones as needed. This is a hybrid position working in the Mexico City office 2-3 days a week
