Position Purpose: Lead an organization responsible for implementing and managing a Provider Partnership Model that represents the Operations organization across Centene, defining an integrated provider operations strategy, corresponding roadmaps and initiatives delivery in support of that integrated strategy, and partnering with Centene's technology organization and other key stakeholders such as Quality, Population Health, Finance and market leadership. In addition, this role will ensure customer and stakeholder needs are met, resources optimized, and maximum value is returned to Centene stakeholders. Achievement requires an ability to work across an array of complex and critical business, vendor, and other stakeholder partnerships in delivering process-based and transformational initiatives.

  • Partnership Model – Define and implement a Partnership Model representing Operations across various partner organizations, including Markets, Health Plan Products, Business Technology Solutions (BTS), Compliance, and other identified stakeholders.

  • Strategy / Planning – Define and implement a Provider Strategic Planning process across identified areas of Operations aligned with and in support of enterprise, partners’, and Operation’s priorities and measurable objectives. Lead in the resolution of priority conflicts across partners as warranted.

  • Initiative Delivery – Translate identified strategies into a set of prioritized initiatives (e.g., talent-, process-, and / or technology based). Ensure that each has senior leadership and partner support and buy-in, a manageable execution plan and / or road map, appropriate resource staffing, support for execution, and appropriate business case and governance to achieve success. Drive the overall process of initiative delivery to success.

  • Technology Dependencies – For those prioritized initiatives that require technology enablement, partner with the Shared Services CIO, Operation teams, various BTS teams, and other stakeholders as appropriate in driving the overall processes of:

  • Exploring solution options and delivery approach based on defined needs.

  • Detailing requirements, resource needs, testing strategy and approach, and commitment alignment.

  • Initiative delivery, including issue identification and escalation, entrance and exit criteria, and lessons learned post-

  • delivery.

  • Innovation / Continuous Improvement – Operating within the Provider Partnership Model and across Operation’s stakeholders, drive continuous improvement (e.g., Kaizen) in renovating and innovating Operations ability to deliver a differentiated experience to Centene’s providers.

  • For all projects led, will have responsibly for performance management of outcomes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards Education/Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field required:
    Master's Degree Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred: 5+ years of experience in provider experience strategic initiatives to support Primary Care providers
    3+ years experience in a value base care organization driving initiatives that accelerate a path to a successful risk arrangement
    3+ years of health plan experience focused on providers or 5+ years’ experience with large national value-based delivery system
    3+ years experience with provider partners such as Home, Behavioral Health, Urgent and multi-specialty providers, and their integration to Primary Care
    Proven track record of demonstrating exemplary people and business leadership, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and achieving aligned goal through cross-organizational collaboration
    Solid history of improving provider experience through strategic partnerships and initiatives that drive improved clinical performancePay Range: $178,500.00 - $338,800.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
