Position Overview

The Software Engineering Quality role will serve as the leader to work cross functionally across technology, product, regulatory, and quality functions to improve the quality of engineering deliverables. In addition, this role will work closely with the technology/product teams and support strategic imperatives to drive and sustain process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across functions to understand their strategies and requirements for technology implementations, digital products and lead the quality and process optimization strategy
  • Develop policies, standards, guidelines, governance, and related guidance in collaboration with Quality organization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including cloud engineers, project managers, and quality assurance teams, to ensure seamless integration of verification and validation activities into the overall development process.
  • Responsible to guide, and mentor team of engineers involved in the Cloud system verification and validation process.
  • Responsible for the end-to-end process involved in demonstrating the System meets our product requirements.
  • Ensures alignment of enterprise goals with cross-functional partners through effective collaboration.
  • Ensures that the realized solution fulfills the desired qualities of relevant stakeholders.
  • Promotes a collaborative environment for continuous improvement and transformation. Identifies areas for improvement, implements best practices, and leverages new technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support both internal and external regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Lead quality improvement projects to include compliance standards for software quality operating methods, processes, and procedures (such as ISO13485/IEC62304/HIPAA/FDA/Security Standards/Data Privacy).

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in various QA methodologies, including Agile.
  • Knowledge of software testing tools and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of programming languages (e.g. Node.js, React, Python).
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and managing resources for QA activities.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Creative thinking to develop innovative solutions.
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality standards are met.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's and or master’s degree in software engineering and 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Several years of experience in quality assurance and engineering management.
  • Proven track record of leading QA teams and improving processes.

Additional Information

  • The position can be remote, hybrid or in-person. The preferred location is within US.
  • Travel is estimated at 20% but will flex depending on business need.

NOTE: This position is eligible for 100% remote working arrangements (may work from home/virtually 100%; may also work hybrid on-site/virtual as desired). #LI-Remote

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,730.00 - $221,980.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
