JOB POSITION SUMMARY

The senior engineer for compressor is responsible for compressor mechanical design, structure, layout, deliver 3D/2D drawings, BOM.

This role requires interaction with compressor product engineering team, factory production in order to ensure product development, VAVE or sustaining goals set forth by the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Lead design visualization efforts with 3D CAD models and essential components, assembly details to ensure design documentation release incl 2D/3D drawings, BOM, EOM and part list.
• Develop mechanical design analysis incl GD/T, Stress FEA and calculation for centrifugal and screw compressor parts including castings, fasteners, sealing parts and other machining parts.
• Perform mechanical parts material selection and application.
• Participate in designs of compressor products to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost, manufacturability and service of new release or improvements.
• Coordinates Design for Manufacturing activities in support of design development.
• Provides support and troubleshooting of factory issues related to compressor as needed.
• Collaborates with other team members in product VAVE activities.
• Ensures thorough and robust design documentation for manufacturing.
• Maintains adherence to JCI product design procedures.
• Solves problems at the engineering and production levels.
• Maintains a safe working environment and supports a zero-harm culture.
• Comply with company ethics policy, other regulation and related quality requirements.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor degree and above in Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years experience in compressor or HAVC industry. Familiar with compressor structure, work theory and manufacturing process. Proficiency in CAD(Pro_E, Inventor), AutoCAD, MS office software. Demonstrated capability of mechanical parts design and calculation. Demonstrated teamwork, communication and collaboration skill. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and independently. Fluent English in speaking, writing and reading English. Possess time management skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, heated mechanical parts, adhesive fumes, airborne particles, and energized electrical systems. The work area is generally clean and safe, but there will be machining operations that generate moderate noise and metal flakes.

All necessary PPE (personal protective equipment) and safety training will be provided by the company.
