Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for an Infrastructure & Facilities Engineer to join our team in delivering key infrastructure and facility changes and upgrades in support of our business stakeholders. In this role, you will be working as part of our Infrastructure and Facilities team, supporting the Manager and Design Project Engineer to coordinate and deliver across multiple small works and Capital projects. ensuring that the projects are completed on time, within budget, to the required quality standards and ultimately achieve the brief received from our stakeholders.

Role Dimensions:

Working closely with our PMO Team, Group Facility Management Team and wider Business Performance Team and key stakeholders to, support, coordinate and deliver Infrastructure and facilities projects, improvements, and upgrades for McLaren Racing across all functions and sites. Experience of working in Building Services engineering or construction would be ideal.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Liaise with Stakeholders to compile and produce documentation for project briefs.
• Update and maintain our project and priority workload tool.
• Communicate with stakeholders on status and progress of projects.
• Develop and manage small works project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Work with and coordinate with industry professionals, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success.
• Review project plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Be aware of and work within with CDM Regulations, Building Regulations, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Provide flexible support to project team members.
• Manage contractor site attendance and site safety inductions.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• HNC / HND in building services or similar construction or engineering field.
• Experience in Building Services, construction or manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritise workloads.
• Knowledge of project management software and tools.
• MS Office suite knowledge essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Proactive, self motivated, adaptable and calm under pressure.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of H&S practices.

McLaren Racing is based at the iconic McLaren Technology Centre (MTC) near Woking. Here at McLaren, we offer hybrid working with 3 days a week based in the MTC.

The MTC is connected to Woking mainline station via regular shuttle buses, from which London Waterloo is a 30 minute train ride.
