The Role

Moonbug is seeking an experienced public relations professional to drive communications strategies for our blockbuster kids' brands. Millions of families around the world are captivated by CoComelon, Blippi, Morphle, and other Moonbug properties. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and resourceful PR expert to craft and lead PR campaigns alongside our marketing team. You’ll launch innovative new show formats, surprise talent collaborations, adorable new toy lines, and more. You’ll also report to the Senior Communications Director, who leads the communications team.

We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of creating impactful strategies that help brands stand out in press and social media. This person has worked closely with marketing partners or clients to shape cross-functional campaigns that get consumers talking (experience with parents and caregivers is a plus). They have consistently built compelling stories and pitches that inspire reporters to say, “I’d love to cover that!” Additionally, they can quickly respond to issues and protect the brand under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute consumer communications strategies that raise awareness and affinity for Moonbug and its brands (CoComelon, Blippi, Morphle and others).
• Secure impactful coverage across campaigns and announcements, igniting conversation among parents and caregivers.
• Manage brand issues as they arise, serving as company spokesperson.
• Counsel executives on key decisions, and coach them as spokespeople.
• Write press materials, including messaging, press releases, scripts, and speeches.
• Work closely with internal partners across content, marketing, and other teams to shape cross-functional strategies and campaigns.
• Deftly manage relationships with external business partners.
• Lead a team of agency partners to achieve results.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading and delivering strategic communications campaigns across consumer news outlets.
• A deep understanding of consumer, and/or the kids and parenting space.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns during busy seasons.
• A creative and scrappy approach to PR, delivering results with limited resources.
• Passion for experimenting with new tactics. Has a pulse on the news and PR world.
• Expertise in media relations
• Strong written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple and compelling way.
