Overview

The IT Project Manager will assist the Program Management Office and Information Technology Leadership team with program and project management support for IT readiness and deployment of an Oracle ERP solution. This person will lead the IT workstream for the companywide ERP program. This role will manage activities related to readiness for both ERP implementation planning and deployment and for the IT organization’s ongoing support. There will be a heavy emphasis on cross functional project management, and assisting with preparing artifacts such as materials for Steering Committee and Board of Directors, building, and maintaining project plans in Smartsheet, managing risk logs, organizing, facilitating, and documenting meetings, and the like. This is a remote position working MST and CST hours. All qualified candidates must live, and be authorized to work, in the United States, without requiring visa sponsorship.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Daily program/project management throughout the program life cycle, while working in a technical environment

· Plan the overall program and monitor progress.

· Help facilitate the intake of new projects.

· Function as Project Manager for the IT workstream on behalf of the Head of Information Technology, in support of the Program Management Office, including updating Program/Project Smartsheet with key activities and action items, sending out meeting notes, key follow-ups, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.

· Manage the project workstreams using tools, such as a RACI, RAID log, meeting agendas, and project plans in Smartsheet; build dashboards in Smartsheet, as required.

· Develop and/or edit project plans in Smartsheet, as required.

· Identify key RAIDs, prepare alternatives, and escalate them according to the RACI.

· Prepare communications materials for executive read-outs, as required.

· Gather updates from external and internal team members.

· Lead regular update meetings with project teams and prepare and lead ad hoc working sessions to resolve specific task items. Execute tasks assigned to the PM, as dictated by the project plans.

· Own overall project plan and manage cross-functional resources, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, status reporting, and achievement of business goals.

· Work with management to review, optimize and document repeatable and effective program management.

· Liaison between cross functional teams such as product development, IT, engineering, operations, data team, billing teams, etc.

· Integrate business policies and governance processes into project planning and accountability.

· Manage the program’s budget and forecast.

· Manage risks and issues and take corrective measurements.

· Identify, track and report program KPIs to assess impact.

· Provide and perform quality assurance checks on project artifacts and deliverables.

· Facilitate and lead project meetings and discussions with stakeholders at all levels.

· Implement change management process.

Requirements

Desired Skills & Experience

· Minimum of 5-7 years of project and/or program management expertise building project budgets/forecasts, status reports and KPIs, and analyzing processes to identify areas of optimization and improvement.

· Experience in implementing ERP systems, preferably Oracle, on behalf of an IT organization, preferably within the oil and gas industry.

· Direct hands-on experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, Smartsheet, and Visio

· Strong knowledge of project and program management methodology and techniques

· Understanding of IT systems unique to the Oil and Gas industry.

· Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals.

· Strong leadership, stakeholder, and management skills, coupled with ability to individually contribute all duties and responsibilities outlined here.

· Superior oral and written communication skills with ability to build project assets.

· Strong analytics and reporting skills

· Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.

· Ability to process information quickly and present it in a succinct and insightful format

Education & Certifications

· Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Business, IT, Computer Science, or Finance

· PMP certification is helpful.

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a long term consulting engagement with expected salary range of $115-145k. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
