Team Summary:

To ensure that Visa’s payment technology is truly available to everyone, everywhere requires the success of our key bank or merchant partners and internal business units. The Global Data Solutions (GDS) team comprises of data practitioners with diverse data skillsets ranging from data science, data engineering, data visualization. The Global Data team within the GDS function is responsible for building data driven global solutions and ML models, data visualization outcomes, and data driven initiatives and assets, making sure we use cutting edge technologies to deliver our offerings seamlessly to clients across the globe. Our focus lies in building creative data driven outcomes that have an immediate impact on the business of our highly analytical partners. We work in complementary teams comprising members from Data Science, Data Engineering, Consulting, and various groups at Visa.

Job Description

We are seeking to hire a Scrum Master - Analyst, with a strong focus on managing the end-to-end scrum processes for all the functions in the Global Data team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will possess robust experience in setting up scrum teams, aligning the teams to defined scrum practices within the organization and bring in the best practices around Agile processes.

This position is based in Visa's office in Bengaluru, India, and presents an excellent opportunity for those looking to make a significant impact in the field of Program Management.

Essential Functions

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospective) for teams of around 20 members.
• Guide and coach the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure the Scrum Team is fully functional and productive, enabling them to self-organize and make necessary changes to improve efficiency.
• Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
• Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
• Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
• Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
• Support and educate the Product Owner, especially on grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
• Track and report Scrum team metrics in alignment with business requirements.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree in computer applications, Engineering or Program management
•4+ years’ relevant experience in Agile project management in the field of Data as a scrum master
Skills:
•Certified ScrumMaster or similar Agile certification is a must.
•Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, and practices.
•Experience working with distributed teams and managing global client deliveries.
•Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
•Ability to work with and lead a team of around 50+ members.
•Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
•Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated intellectual rigor
•Good business acumen with a track record in solving business problems through working in collaboration with teams
•Very detailed oriented, is expected to ensure highest level of quality/rigor in reports and data analysis
•Should have strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to quickly propose feasible options and effectively communicate strategy and risk mitigation approaches to leadership
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
•Demonstrated ability to incorporate new techniques to solve business problems
