Senior Cloud Engineer

We're looking for a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team at Resilinc! You will optimize and troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure and maintain high availability and monitoring. This position reports to the VP Cloud Operations for Resilinc’s India Center of Excellence. This is a remote role based in India.

What You Will Do

• Administration and troubleshooting of Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Configure and manage Azure networking components, including virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups.
• Maintain monitoring solutions using tools such as Nagios, Grafana, and Prometheus to ensure the health and performance of cloud resources.
• Provide troubleshooting and support for microservice-based applications (Docker), ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Perform basic administration and troubleshooting of PostgreSQL databases.
• Basic administration and troubleshooting skills on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Docker.
• Monitor, scale, and optimize the performance of Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking components, to ensure optimal utilization and cost efficiency.
• Create and manage periodic backups.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Work closely with development, operations, and support teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
• Support our compliance staff in activities related to maintaining and attaining new security certifications for our Cloud solutions.

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of managing Cloud Infrastructure out of which 3+ is required on Azure Cloud.
• Experience with Azure Cloud offerings, services, and security controls.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and hands-on with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Proficiency with Linux Bash/Python, and Terraform, and experience in writing and maintaining IaC scripts.
• Knowledge of networking, security, and infrastructure best practices.
• Cloud infrastructure and service monitoring using tools like Azure Monitor.
• Experience with backup & restore systems is desired.
• Any exposure to databases like PostgreSQL would be nice to have.
• Strong communication (English) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
