Job Description:

NOTE: The start date for this position is September 2025 for 8 months.

Reporting to the Manager, General Accounting, the successful candidate will work on daily task and projects in areas such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, capital assets and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Primarily support Accounting Payable team
  • Scanning invoices to the automated AP system;
  • Processing of invoices and purchase orders;
  • Checking of reports;
  • Monitor and processing emails in the accounting inbox;
  • Vendor set up and modification.
  • Communication with vendors and problem solving.
  • Other vacation coverage and special project responsibilities will vary depending upon the projects, which are assigned, but may include reconciliations of accounts, analysis,
  • Communication with other departments and problem solving.
  • Verifying and entering journal entries; and
  • Carrying out special projects or other duties as assigned which may include reconciliations, analysis, etc.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Completion of 2nd, 3rd or 4-year University in a Bachelor of Commerce program with a major in Accounting who is formally part of the Co-op program;
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interface with team members and customers to promote positive customer outcomes;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; and
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proven track record of good attendance and job performance.
