About the team:
The Store Payments Enablement team operates in the Component layer that is responsible for producing secure, composable payment solutions in a cost-efficient manner and as per completive time-to-market delivery timelines. The team is global and supports all card and alternative payments in store for all stores and brands in all our markets.

The Component team is managed by a Product Manager. The team’s vision is to strive for fast, secure, and frictionless payments. With an agile mindset and a passion for technology, provide best in class services for our customers and stakeholders.

About the role:
As a technical engineer, you are responsible for designing solutions for Payment Service Providers and accountable for configuration, and development in the support of new payment technologies to be introduced at H&M. You work with a variety of different payment technologies to create innovative solutions to real world problems. As a technical engineer you think creatively and independently, and you support the engineering of designs for new payment technologies or improvements on existing ones.

Responsibilities:

  • Define platform architecture and design based on the needs of stakeholders, technology and new innovations
  • Support commercial advisor with technical expertise in commercial negotiations, procurement and other escalations with service providers such as Payment Service Provider and providers of POS
  • Research and document functional requirements with Business Experts and Retail Tech Project Leads to meet global and local needs
  • Design and test payment solutions based on business requirements and document solution architecture in SAD
  • Develop and maintain test environment with payment terminals, network and integrations with POS and Payment Service Providers
  • Ensure development and integration of payment solutions by Payment Service Providers
  • Engage in trouble shooting, identify potential issues and integrate possible solutions in development and production, the later as per incident and problem process
  • Ensure compliance to PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO etc and other security requirements
  • Refactor legacy systems, and build solutions to reduce technical debt and assist in the decupling and modernization of the software architecture

Requirements

  • Solid understanding in payment technology and processes
  • Expertise in designing platform architectures based on latest payment technologies
  • Ability to work on technology agnostic high-performing and secure payment solutions according to the customer needs
  • Solving complex problems with continuous improvement and work on use cases
  • Ability to research and implement the latest trends and technologies within software design, architecture and engineering
  • Test and deploy technical solutions, including automated testing and work on test cases
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies will be an advantage
  • Stakeholder Management by cross functional collaboration to manage, solve and reduce technical dependencies
