AnaVation is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our team and support our mission critical customer in Reston, VA. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for the analysis of cloud infrastructure and integration with other IC IE technical services and capabilities. They will lead reporting in coordination with other cyber experts and thought leaders and work with engineering teams to ensure full integration with hybrid cloud platform management layer, identity management, and R&D infrastructure. The Cloud Engineer will help the Organization mature its infrastructure into a fully automated, service-oriented, hybrid IT and implement an enterprise monitoring environment using industry standard technologies. They will participate in selection and deployment of Open stack distribution (SLA, performance, support, cost) and use automation to define, implement and manage a cloud-based infrastructure, as well as review infrastructure security holes, apply patches, create console roles and reviews, and create and install security packs as needed. Additional duties include designing and building Demonstration and Lab environments for Testing and Prototyping and researching emerging cloud security technologies and cloud deployment of tools.

Required Qualifications

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph
• Education & Years of Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience related to specific functional area.
• Certifications: Currently hold, or be able to attain, a CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II certification.
• Experience and knowledge on:
• Working collaboratively across cross-functional teams of all experience levels
• Creating, maintaining, and updating related knowledge management and technical documentation
• Analysis of cloud infrastructure needs of Customer’s product units and transversal functions.
• Experience designing and implementing hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• Experience integrating with hybrid cloud platform management layer, identity management and development and test infrastructure.
• Experience working with automating build pipelines, migrations, security and compliance in the cloud, networking in the cloud and on premise, automation using AWS, and ability to script or program.
• Experience reviewing infrastructure security holes, creating and installing security packs and patches as needed.
• Experience with cloud migration planning, cloud technology roadmaps, and technology insertion.
• Experience producing innovation whitepapers, technical project plans, proof of concepts, and prototypes.

Desired Qaulifications

• Security certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+, SSCP, or equivalent certification
• AWS, Cloud certifications
