Development Engineer Sr (Equipment Maintenance)

2nd Shift

General Description:

The ideal Equipment Engineering candidate will be a multi-faceted individual with experience in basic troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex electrical & mechanical tool/system failures. Engineer should possess the ability to dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to schematics, blueprints, drawings, and operating/repair manuals. He/she will be expected to perform service and repairs tasks on semiconductor processing equipment (preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment failures, etc..). These tasks could include initial document creation, basic cleanroom startup tasks, chemical and gas handling (cylinder replacement, disposal, etc..), tool installations, etc... He/she must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, have a proven ability to follow processes & operational policies, and obtain solutions to all production equipment needs in multiple areas. These areas will include but are not limited to etch, metals, photo, MBE, and metrology.

Essential Duties:

Work in ISO 4 Cleanroom environment.

Strength in troubleshoot and repair semiconductor and related equipment: Strong Experience with Dry Etchers, PECVD tools and ALD tools.

Experience with Evaporators, sputter systems, and dielectric deposition systems.

Post Process tools: Polisher, Grinders, knowledge of compressed gases and chemical handling.

Vacuum pumps including oil pumps, dry pumps, turbos, and cryo pumps and cryo compressors.

Helium leak testing and understand Abatement systems a plus.

Required Skills:

Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.

Ability to accurately capture and report on tool related failures, to include troubleshooting logic, root cause analysis, and recurrence prevention.

Experience in technical writing (maintenance and PM documentation/work instruction).

Having experience with high vacuum systems (theory, troubleshooting, and Helium leak detection for various pump packages) utilized in the processing of semiconductor substrates is a plus.

Required Education:

BS degree or,

AS degree and min of 3yrs experience or,

5yrs of equivalent experience (Equivalent may consist of trade school experience, military background, or OEM training on relevant equipment)

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work in a ISO Class 4 cleanroom and facility equipment rooms

The employee is occasionally required to must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to stand, walk & stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Special Requirements:

U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required

Candidate must be able to get a Security Clearance

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $43.58 - $54.50 per hour + bonus + benefits.
