Interim Designer - Kids

Job Description

NOTE: This position is offered as a hybrid role in the Seattle, WA area. You must be willing to work in office at the Nordstrom Seattle office a minimum of 3 days/week to be considered for this position.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a TEMPORARY assignment at Nordstrom. This assignment is expected to last through the end of January, 2025, subject to change depending on the needs of the business. Your employment with Nordstrom will end upon the conclusion of this Temporary Assignment.

As a Temporary Designer, you will support the design process for our Kid's category.

Primary responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

Designing a collection for baby and little kids

Completing Illustrator sketches

Updating the Flex PLM system, including BOM’s

Attending fittings and team collaboration meetings

Coloring collections per season in Illustrator

Creating PowerPoint Presentation decks

You own this if you have…

• Bachelor's degree in Design preferred
• Strong portfolio demonstrating your design skills in the assigned category
• Minimum 5 years' experience in design industry
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Adobe CS (required), MS Office suite and ability to hand-sketch. Able to quickly adapt to new technology and systems
• Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
• Strong understanding of industry and trends within the Active space.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $80,000 - $155,000 annuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
