Job Responsibilities

  • Managing the distribution of tasks to junior staff as appropriate to their development and to the satisfaction of the needs of the organization.
  • Providing generic financial planning, investment, forecasting and/or budgeting and control functions for the organization.
  • Managing the organization's tax filing and governmental reporting activities.
  • Performing finance, investment and/or accounting functions for the organization, including record keeping and reporting.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math or related field required

Experience

  • 5 years - Work experience in an accounting/financial position is required.
  • 1 year - Experience with automated financial systems and database retrieval

Skills\Certifications

  • Attention to detail, exceptional documentation abilities, and organizational skills
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills and ability to perform non-routine analytical tasks
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Capacity to solve problems and manage multiple assignments with critical deadlines
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff and management
  • Solid math skills and understanding of financial/accounting theory

Position Specific Preferences: Sr. Financial Analyst - Performance Reporting & Analysis

  • Medicare/Medicaid experience
  • FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) experience
  • Audit Experience
  • Experience preparing and reviewing internal controls and procedures as required by government regulations preferred
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing monthly cost reports and forecasts preferred
  • Experience with timekeeping and workload and/or project reporting systems preferred
