Coolbet is seeking a Security Engineer to join our dynamic InfoSec team! Your main role will be safeguarding the organization's information assets across our B2B and B2C platforms. You’ll design, implement, and maintain security solutions while enhancing existing systems. Key responsibilities include managing an ISO 27001-compliant Information Security Management System (ISMS) and collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen our security posture. As part of our global InfoSec Department, with teams in Tallinn and the USA, you'll work closely with skilled security engineers and specialists to improve security processes within our tech environments.

A Sneak Peek into Your Role

• Planning, designing, implementing, supervising, and monitoring security controls related to CI/CD, applications, Kubernetes clusters, networks, and servers.
• Codifying and automating the provisioning of security tools through IaC tools and custom solutions.
• As a subject matter expert, contributing to the implementation and design of security technologies and controls mandated by security standards.
• Participating in the design of overall environments while promoting a security-focused culture within the organization.
• Planning, designing, and performing internal audits and vulnerability assessments to evaluate security controls and proposing improvements.
• Participating in the incident response process, evaluating and recommending new security tools and technologies.
• Writing and maintaining documentation about security implementations and procedures.
• Responsibilities may require working outside of normal hours to support critical systems and occasionally traveling for official assignments.

You’re good at

• Background in Security Engineering, DevOps, IT Operations, or related roles.
• Proficient in Linux security and administration, with a strong grasp of Kubernetes, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands on experience in security design and architecture within a microservices environment using automation tools like Terraform/Ansible or scripting languages like Bash/Python/Golang.
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitOps, and automation.
• Advanced knowledge of security concepts related to web applications, containers, systems, networks, and common protocols (e.g., TCP, HTTP/S, DNS, reverse proxies, routing, switching).
• University degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on achieving results. Able to think strategically and analytically, take initiative, manage stress, and juggle multiple tasks. Comfortable explaining technical details in a clear way to non-technical teammates, and always striving for personal and professional growth.
• Fluency in verbal and written English is a must, as it's our primary means of communication.
