Are you an experienced Data Scientist with a deep technical skill set and a passion for leveraging data to solve complex problems? If this sounds like you, we have an exciting opportunity for you as a Data Scientist - Technical Expert. In this role you will be advocating and executing change, innovation, and governing best practise across the team and providing technical expertise to our newly formed and growing Data Change & Innovation team.
This is initially a Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

This role is for a Data Scientist – Technical expert who will work within one of our AI/ML teams. They will build productionised solutions, working within cross-functional teams to bring state of the art machine learning to our business. They will partner with colleagues to identify opportunities to apply AI and make a difference to real business problems. They will build the high impact models that power our customer and marketing transformation. Their solutions will be simple yet innovative and they will create and share knowledge allowing us to grow together as a team.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
- Educated to degree or post-graduate level, in numerate /programming-oriented subject, or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge through industry experience
- Experience of using Python and SQL-like languages in data science
- Knowledge and experience in machine learning techniques and approaches (e.g. supervised / unsupervised / reinforcement learning) and indicators of model accuracy
- Knowledge of how to create end-to-end machine learning deployments
- Experience of working with stakeholders and non-technical experts

- Starting salary – £50,000 - £70,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
