Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop on cloud and on-premises environments, and automate the testing of resilient, customer-facing systems. Through collaboration with other engineers, your work will improve the impact our customers and our staff.

This is a permanent, full time role based in Sydney (60 Margaret St Office).

What you’ll do

• Work along the full lifecycle of software engineering from idea to working production.
• Proactive in the development of your own capability across industry trends, technologies, methodologies, and behaviours.
• Ensure the effective documentation and communication of knowledge, system, and process.
• Be an advocate for the adoption of Agile / Scrum practice, methodologies, and attitudes. Role model Agile leadership behaviours.

What we’re looking for

• At least 3+ years’ experience in development/software engineering and working within agile organisations.
• Demonstrated experience and proficient understanding of development platforms, tools and frameworks, include, Micro services architecture, Openshift, SQL Server, JBOSS, Spring.
• Demonstrated experience and good understanding of testing practices and tools, such as selenium, API Automation, TDD/BDD, cucumber etc.
• Experience with application lifecycle management tools, like Azure DevOps, Git, CI, work tracking, defect management, etc.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and automation.
• Strong communication skills that ensure ability to influence and educate non-technical staff.
