ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is seeking aSenior Industrial Engineer to join our growing team in Linden, NJ. This role will focus on optimizing our refurbishment operations and manufacturing processes, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and driving efficiency throughout our operational workflows. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in lean manufacturing, line balancing, and driving process improvements in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Lead initiatives to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure optimal throughput in our refurbishment facility.
  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing lines to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness, balancing low-cost automation and industrialization requirements.
  • Analyze and design workflows, workstation layouts, material flow, and equipment efficiency to enhance operational productivity.
  • Conduct time studies and line balancing to ensure efficient labor and machine utilization.
  • Identify, analyze, and lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Develop and maintain production standards, work instructions, and operating procedures to support best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, quality, etc.) to implement changes and ensure smooth production processes.
  • Manage Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI, and payback calculations.
  • Support maintenance, troubleshooting, and the optimization of production lines and equipment.
  • Monitor production KPIs and provide actionable insights to drive operational performance.
  • Lead and coach junior engineers and production staff in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for production issues or inefficiencies.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing or refurbishment environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven experience in conducting time studies, line balancing, and process mapping.
  • Experience with CAD software for layout design and process simulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive solutions independently.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with managing CapEx projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to work cross-functionally and lead initiatives.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (Excel, Minitab, etc.).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience in refurbishment or reverse logistics operations.
