• Provide engineering support in controls and electronic systems.
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to improve effectiveness of the manufacturing facilities.
• Implement and Provide engineering support for small and large cost and capital projects.
• Support the performance and improvement of the control distribution system.
• Support the performance and improvement of the site instrumentation and electronic equipment.
• Develop preventive and predictive programs for the Electronic & Instrument scope
• Participate in project teams and all activities related to Electronic & Instrument support.
• Conduct field assessments and audits on Electronic & Instrument equipment.
• Lead and implement all Chemours standard/policy
• Provide technical expertise to communicate/work with other internal and external engineers.
• Provide technical guidance and review for electronic and control procedures, programs and safe work practices.
• Provide engineering support and expertise for Process Safety Management (PSM) through participation in Process Hazard Analysis (PHAs) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs).
• Troubleshoot electronic, controls and instrument problems as needed for the operating areas.
• Lead RCFAs pertaining to electronic and controls systems.
• Provide electronic and instrumentation engineering assistance to maintenance and operations including troubleshooting, evaluation of equipment failures, and technical recommendations for repairs and upgrades, and ownership of improvements.
• Develop knowledge in area specific equipment to become subject matter experts for the review and preparation of maintenance inspection & work procedures and skills development/training.
• Prepare and audit scopes of work, estimates, schedules, and equipment specifications.
• Review preventive maintenance plans to ensure optimum process and frequency of performance
• Evaluate vendor proposals and designs and exercise effective judgment around functionality, cost, and timing.
