We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Business Continuity Management in our Group Risk and Compliance Team.

Reporting to the Head of Business Resilience, the Senior Business Continuity Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the Business Continuity Management Framework and core components (including policies, procedures, processes, and resources) across Cuscal are functioning as expected.

This is a highly visible role in the business and will be responsible for the delivery of conducting Business Continuity Management related activities across the business. Responsibilities of the Senior Analyst in the team’s capacity as the second line of defence under the Risk Management Framework, include:

  • Lead day-to-day business activities of the function to ensure we are compliant with the Business Continuity Management Framework, methodology, processes, and tools for Cuscal.
  • Reporting, analysing and escalating to enhance the effectiveness of Business Continuity Management across Cuscal.
  • Design, implement and embed initiatives to ensure sustainable Business Continuity Management practices. This includes, but is not limited to; providing information, training, advice, and tools to the first line of defence to assist them with activities and tasks associated with Business Continuity Management
  • Monitoring and following up on business continuity related incidents, issues and remediation actions with accountable persons.
  • Monitor the ongoing compliance of Business Continuity Management framework against relevant regulatory requirements especially APRA prudential standards and guides.
  • Monitor relevant changes impacting BCM and ensure adequate response to changes by completing business impact analysis and change management activities.
  • Supporting the first line of defence’s compliance capabilities, including by providing compliance tools, templates, systems and training.
  • Providing effective challenges as part of participation in the decision- making process, ensuring that material decisions are risk based, and risk frameworks support effective decision making.
  • Ensure alignment of BCM initiatives with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

About You
To be successful in this position you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in a Business, Management, Finance, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in Business Continuity Management in the financial services sector, including the embedment of effective frameworks
  • Sound knowledge of APRA prudential standards that involve Business Continuity Planning and operational resilience.
  • Experience using Power BI to analyse data and generate insights for reporting
  • Sound knowledge and experience in the regulatory framework governing Cuscal or capacity to promptly familiarise yourself with same.
  • Proven experience of providing proactive risk management and compliance input to assist in commercial dealings and other matters at middle level management.
