About The Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to play a critical role in our software development and deployment process. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services, hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, and a strong SRE mindset to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of our applications.

What You Will Do

• Deploy, and manage scalable and reliable AWS infrastructure using services such as ElasticSearch, EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, Route53, WAF, and VPC
• Deploy and enforce IAM best practices
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
• Automate testing, building, and deployment processes to streamline software releases
• Ensure best practices for version control, branching, and code reviews are followed
• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
• Respond to incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement improvements to prevent future issues
• Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to support a seamless DevOps process.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members on best practices for DevOps and SRE.
• Document processes, infrastructure configurations, and operational procedures.
• Participate in agile development and SCRUM
• Engage in collective responsibility for maintaining a high-quality product

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years professional experience in similar roles
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on AWS
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation or CDK
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for industry best practices

Good to Have:

• AWS certification(s) such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar.
• Experience with AWS Control Tower, AWS Organizations
• Experience with other CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or TeamCity
• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Knowledge and experience with other IaC solutions such as Terraform and Ansible
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in a cloud environment
• Team leadership experience
• Interest in management and mentorship
