US0 Central Engineering Headquarters: Come join our growing team of mechanical, electrical, automation, and IT engineers at our Central Engineering headquarters, located at the Donaldson Campus in Greenville, South Carolina. Our team of Engineers is responsible for the successful implementation of major capital projects throughout the Americas. These state-of-the-art projects relate to new and upgraded material handling, material preparation, tire-building, and curing processes at our Manufacturing Facilities throughout the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, and Canada.

MISSION:

As part of a dynamic and passionate team in industrial computing, you will design, develop, and support the applications required for the integration of the specificities for zone Americas industry with the group’s process IT.

In this position, you will:

  • Lead pre-studies in strong collaboration with the SIP architects to define the most effective solutions.

  • Manage solution design by respecting the best practices of the business (internal and external standards, quality system, capitalization, archiving) in collaboration with all concerned métiers (Automation, Mechanical, IT Infrastructure).

  • Ensure business continuity, for integration applications and modules, through technical and functional support according to the processes of the various business entities.

Expected achievements:

  • In your field, lead opportunity studies while taking into consideration both the medium and long-term IT architecture vision.

  • Utilize both the quality system and methods of the group (risk analysis, design reviews, quality planning, DTE, NC treatment, ...).

  • Carry out feasibility studies, evaluate possible solutions from the standpoint of costs, deadlines, risks, and functional choice criteria to meet the validated CDCs.

  • Carry out the action plans required to manage risks (sizing calculations, safety, simulation, tests, etc.).

  • Design feasible solutions in cooperation with the industrial and IT methods team.

  • Support the homologation, qualification, and robustness validation process after the commissioning of the applications/modules developed in collaboration with industrial partners.

  • Maintain an up-to-date development roadmap, including:

  • Release availability and management,

  • Integration of requests for evolutions and nonconformities,

  • Obsolescence roadmap,

  • Releases notes.

  • Guarantee SMQDCP commitments and ensure compliance with the regulations defined in the context of SI vulnerability.

Adaptability is crucial in allowing you to evolve in an ever-changing industrial IT environment.

Cybersecurity is of paramount importance and will be part of the position’s daily activities.

The Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • BS in Computer Science or related degree

  • Experience with Windows server administration.

  • Experience with database administration, including various forms of SQL and Oracle DB

  • Empathic and articulate communication skills applicable at all levels within the organization.

  • Exposure to GitLab and Ansible would be a plus.

  • Exposure to Kubernetes and/or experience with containerization technologies would be a plus.
