Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our internal digital campaign management platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in .NET development, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable and robust backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for our digital campaign management platform using .NET technologies
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, UX/UI designers, and other developers, to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
3. Implement best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, documentation, and version control
4. Optimize backend performance, scalability, and reliability through continuous monitoring, profiling, and improvement
5. Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the evolution of our platform's backend architecture
6. Integrate backend services with various internal and external systems, such as databases, message queues, and third-party APIs
7. Troubleshoot and debug complex backend issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on platform users
8. Stay up-to-date with the latest .NET technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, and propose adoption when appropriate
9. Mentor and guide junior developers, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
10. Contribute to the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including API specifications, database schemas, and architecture diagrams

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in backend development using .NET technologies (e.g.NET Core)
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices
• Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Microsoft SQL and elastic Pulls) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework)
• Familiarity with message queues (e.g.,ABS, RabbitMQ) and caching technologies (e.g., Redis, Memcached)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., cypress) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Experience in unit testing frameworks (eg.xunit)
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including SOLID principles, DRY, and YAGNI
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues and propose effective solutions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., Angular, React)
• Familiarity with digital marketing concepts, platforms, and tools
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects demonstrating strong backend development skills
