Key Responsibilities:

• Lead from the front: Be the top developer, setting the highest standard of excellence for the team and ensuring that nothing less than the best is acceptable.
• Own the outcome: Manage, lead, and ensure your team delivers top-tier performance in every project.
• Take things personally: Develop and maintain Mission Inbox’s email infrastructure as if it were your own, solving problems with the same urgency our clients feel.
• Optimize relentlessly: Constantly improve our platform’s email deliverability and infrastructure performance to keep us ahead of the competition.
• Guarantee security and scalability: Ensure that our systems are secure, scalable, and built to last.
• Code with pride: Develop and maintain high-quality applications using Django and Python, ensuring every line of code reflects your commitment to excellence.
• Lead infrastructure: Orchestrate and manage Kubernetes, troubleshoot and resolve critical issues related to email performance and infrastructure—fast.
• Own the process: Oversee our Gitlab workspace, rigorously test, and approve merges with full accountability.
• Stay sharp: Continuously stay ahead of industry trends, particularly around email infrastructure, security, and deliverability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expertise with email security protocols (DKIM, SPF, DMARC) and deep experience in Python, Django, and React.
• A mindset that thrives on taking ownership, driving excellence, and being the best at what you do.
• Strong leadership qualities with an ability to guide the team to meet urgent demands and deliver results quickly.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering, particularly with email systems.
• Proficiency with Dovecot, Nginx, Postfix, and other email-related technologies.
• Strong understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3) and deliverability best practices.
• Experience with Django, Python, Kubernetes, and React.
• Proven track record working with cloud platforms and Gitlab.
• Unmatched problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage pressure and deadlines.
