Finite-Element Simulation Engineer of Sensors

The Mobility Electronics (ME) division develops new electronic control units (e.g. for combustion engines, comfort functions, airbags) and a wide range of sensors (e.g. for battery charge state, inertial, yaw-rate, pressure, NOx) in close cooperation with manufacturing. These products are engineered to a state of the art level both in technology and reliability and are to be found in cars of a very large group of manufacturers.

Your tasks:

► Finite-element simulation of sensors for automotive and consumer electronics

► Simulation and design tasks in micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS)

► Continuous development of simulation methods and programming of tools

► Broad range of FEA topics related to innovative MEMS sensors and sensor packages

► Evaluation, documentation and presentation of the simulation results

► Active participation in international project teams

Requirements

Qualifications

► Physicist, mechanical engineer or similar engineering discipline

► Understanding of mechanical simulation using FE method

► Good experience in Ansys simulation environment

► Good programming knowledge in Matlab is an advantage

► Deep knowledge in MEMS is an advantage

► Good communication skill in English in oral and written form, German knowledge is an advantage

► Systematic, analytic way of thinking

► Good teamwork and flexibility
