Title and Summary

Senior Specialist, Product Experience Design

Mastercard Payments Gateway is looking for an experienced Product Experience Designer to drive our customer experience design strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, and analytical.
Role
You will be responsible for creating and supporting user-cantered solutions that enhance our product’s user experience to scale. This role requires a deep understanding of design principles, a passion for building world-class and highly scalable products, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
You’ll collaborate with other UX leads, UX designers, Product Management and Developers to create innovative experiences across Mastercard Payments Gateway domains while leveraging your passion for design quality.

As a Senior Specialist, Product Experience Design you will:
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to ensure a consistent, unified, and high-quality customer experience and user experience across all touch points. Lead large design initiatives from end-to-end, hosting initiative-level sessions, driving adoption of consistent design language and providing day-to-day design leadership.
• Participate in all phases of the research and design process from framing the right problem to solve and defining the design target all the way through to defining the vision, and future state experience to the validation of concepts, prototype or already built products.
• Contribute to the teamwork by participating into design workshops and reviews, involving partners, and creating collaborative opportunities to cultivate innovation.
• Manage complex design projects, overseeing scope, timelines and roadmaps to deliver high-quality results that meet established goals.
• Establish and enforce design standards, ensuring visual design and user experience (UX) decisions align with these standards for a cohesive brand experience.
• Practice the usage of a design system across all programs and products.
• Review and approve design deliverables to maintain consistently high-quality standards.
All About You
You have at least 4 years UX experience and are a skilled champion of human-centred design. With a keen eye, you craft interfaces that are both intuitive and visually engaging, always prioritizing the needs and preferences of the end user. You excel at collaboration, working seamlessly across teams to transform complex ideas into innovative and user-friendly solutions. As the bridge between different disciplines, you ensure all pieces come together to create cohesive and desirable products.

The ideal candidate for this position should:
• have a proven track record of leading product design initiatives, from understanding customer problems and validating solutions through Experience research to crafting exceptional user experiences produces high-quality, intuitive interfaces that enhance user experience.
• possess a deep understanding of user experience, business objectives, and the technologies involved in creating well-rounded products.
• You have a proven history of delivering high-quality work that consistently meets or exceeds established standards.
• possess a sharp mind that questions the status quo, constantly seeking ways to improve and optimize solutions
• stay informed about design best practices across multiple industries, continuously seeking inspiration and innovation.
• actively advocate for and have experience with Design Thinking methodology, boasting a successful track record of bringing products to market using this approach.
• have a demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and productive environment.

Required Experience / Knowledge / Skills (Core)
• Digital design experiences
• Experience in rapid prototyping (Lean UX and Design Thinking)
• Experience in the implementation of creative, useable and compelling mockups and prototypes.
• Experience of designing across multiple media
• Experience using Figma as their primary design tool (or other tools, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch)
• Experience creating and managing Figma asset libraries
• Experience delivery of Figma designs to technology/development teams
• Experience designing for accessibility standards
• An understanding of complex information architectures for digital applications, SDKs/APIs
• "Nice to have" skills:
• UX Research
• CSS/HTML/JSON
