Job Description:

The Senior Manager of Software Engineering is responsible for establishing and leading a multi-function engineering and DevOps team. They partner with executive and senior leadership to ensure the success of our customer facing APIs and third party integrations.

The API and Integrations team focuses on customers who have a deep integration with Pluralsight which enables them to build, measure and improve on a true skills strategy. You'll make this possible through connectors and our outstanding API. You'll collaborate with many teams to find the best way to include their data and operations in our API. In the process you'll have the opportunity to build relationships and develop an understanding of many domains.

What you’ll do:

  • Regional and/or domain leadership
  • Drive product excellence ensuring that our technology delights our users, improves quality, and reduces the cost of support and maintenance of our product development
  • Ensure our products meet or exceed the contracted SLA uptime
  • Create direct and deep relationship with product managers, sales, and account managers
  • Inform the product strategy by bringing technical perspective to the conversation
  • Partner closely with the Product Manager and other teams to assess opportunities to expand our API and guide the engineering team in completing this.
  • Integrate still-fragmented APIs into our central API.
  • Identify opportunities for new third party integrations and lead their delivery
  • Manage relationships with existing integration partners and ensure continuing partnership

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Proven ability to focus engineering work on the top corporate objectives and priorities, and accountability for keeping strategic work on track
  • Experience with API management, 3rd party integrations, product instrumentation, analytics, continuous development and integration, and security and audit concerns

Requirements:

  • Experience as a software engineer and technical leader with large-scale projects delivered
  • Experience leading technical teams that support and partner with international technology and product peers
  • Experience operating cloud services, with technical depth to be active in decisions about large architectural investments
  • Requires a minimum of 8 years of related or equivalent experience; or 6+ years with an advanced degree.

Travel Requirements:

While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $142,200 - $175,600 USD. Pluralsight's pay ranges vary based on work location. Talent Acquisition can share more detail during the hiring process when applicable. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. In addition to the base salary, this role may also be eligible for benefits and bonuses.
