Collaborate with dynamic, cross-functional and international teams

In this role, you will be responsible for supplier quality activities for multiple products/projects. This will include qualification, audits, tactical support and strategic improvement projects. You will complete supplier qualifications as required to ensure that assigned suppliers have capability and processes to deliver high quality products. The successful candidate must have experience working in a manufacturing environment, along with the necessary expertise to identify supplier process risk using APQP tools such as PFMEA, SPC and MSA's.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Partnering with suppliers to complete PFMEA's to ensure we are preventative rather than reactive.
  • Visiting supplier facilities and observing the manufacturing environment to review and assess their procedures.
  • Developing and improving quality processes that will drive down defects and cost of quality.
  • Performing regular audits to ensure supplier continue to work in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions for identified non-conforming materials.
  • Monitor supplier non-conformance performance and internal defects; identify and drive process analysis.
  • Provide technical guidance to suppliers toward assuring product / process compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have prior work experience within a manufacturing environment and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, specifically welding.
  • Have prior experience dealing with suppliers.
  • Have strong analytical, problem solving skills and ability to fluently use six sigma and quality assurance tools such as PFMEA, 5Whys, process mapping and fishbone
  • Be able to travel to multiple supplier sites throughout Europe
  • Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
