Cloud Engineer

Specific responsibilities as Cloud Engineer include:

• Positioning yourself as a trusted advisor to CapTech clients.
• Designing, implementing, integrating, and supporting Cloud solutions
• Working closely with clients, subject matter experts and the CapTech team to understand requirements, establish priorities and project scope, and manage expectations and project delivery
• Providing technical direction and input to other developers to review code and resolve issues
• Differentiating developmental and architectural differences between solution methods and the challenges and approaches to integrating solutions built on different platforms

Learning and Professional Development Opportunities:

• Create an individiaulized professional development plan
• Gain experience with a variety of different clients and industry verticals
• Share knowledge and common experiences with fellow CapTechers through Technical Communities of Practice and Lunch and Learns

Requirements

• Ability to think strategically and relate architectural decisions/recommendations to business needs and client culture.
• Cloud architecture preferred utilizing AWS or Azure
• Understanding of Serverless, Containers, Platform as a Service, Storage, and Identity and Access Management.
• DevOps experience using Terraform, Cloudformation, or AWS CDK with Azure Pipelines to create Infrastructure as Code
• Practical API Development skills using Node (preferred), Java, or .Net
• Preferably experience with Go
• Applied Data Engineering experience with Python, Scala, or R for Data Pipelines and or ETL processing
• Previously worked within full SDLC using Waterfall or Agile Methodologies
• Applied CI/CD experience with Git as a VCS with Test Driven Development practices
